The third High-Level Forum of the SCO under the motto: «Forming close community with a shared destiny of the SCO» was convened in Beijing both online and offline on the initiative of the China Institute of International Studies, the China Center for SCO Studies. Prominent scholars, diplomats and experts from leading research institutions of the SCO countries attended the forum. President of the China Institute of International Studies, the director of the China Center for SCO Studies Xu Bu, Rector of the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, the Director General of Office of China National Institute for SCO International Exchange and Judicial Cooperation Liu Xiaohong, the Chinese Foreign Affairs Ministry’s Advisor for Eurasia Liu Mingche, Deputy Secretary-General of the SCO Ashimov Erik, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to China Arziev Farkhad and the member of the Party Committee, Executive Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of the China-SCO Demonstration Zone. Zhang Dong made speeches at the opening ceremony of the forum. Following the plenary session, the presentation of the Blue Book of the SCO «20 years of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization: history and development prospects» took place. Director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Usmonzoda Khayriddin took part in Forum and addressed regarding SCO — on the path of comprehensive development. Addressing at the panel session on maintaining peace and development in Eurasia, Director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Usmonzoda Khayriddin emphasized this year, regardless of threats, challenges and turbulence in different regions of the world, the SCO member states support each other on the basis of trust and cooperation in international arenas. Director Khayriddin Usmonzoda separately noted the role of the PRC in positively influencing global and regional processes and ensuring equality for all countries, especially developing ones, in various platforms to defend their interests. Continuing his speech, the Usmonzoda noted that the membership of our countries in the SCO over the years has formed a huge field of intersection of interests and mutually orienting values. As noted, the ideas embedded in the concept of Building a Community of Common Destiny will take deeper roots in the Republic of Tajikistan thanks to the projects and investments that are being implemented today with the help of China. The people of Tajikistan felt the practical results from the implementation of the concept of Community of Common Destiny in the construction of modern roads and buildings with the attraction of Chinese investments, the intensification of economic and humanitarian ties between our countries. According to Usmonzoda, today many countries want to change the strategic situation around the SCO member countries by subordinating them, isolating them, creating new coalitions and thus drive a wedge between them. In the light of all this, the task of developing coordinated approaches to ensuring security and countering terrorism and other non-traditional threats is becoming increasingly urgent. At the end of his address Usmonzoda noted that today Tajikistan is consolidating its efforts to implement the adopted four strategic goals for the development of the country, which are aimed at ensuring a decent life for the population of the republic. The forum took place in the spirit of sincerity, good understanding.
